Restoration Appeal
For 275 years the Chapel has stood at the heart of Mayfair, a unique and beautiful place. We are working to raise £500,000 to complete the restoration of the building and secure it for future generations.
Grosvenor Chapel Restoration Appeal
'Right at the Heart of Mayfair'

Grosvenor Chapel is part of the Church of England and serves all the people of West Mayfair through its services concerts and celebrations. Everyone here is welcomed and wanted here. It has stood here for 275 years as a unique presence in the village of West Mayfair.
During that time it has been home to, amongst others, Florence Nightingale, John Wilkes, the first Duke of Wellington’s parents and John Betjeman, and in the Second World War to General Eisenhower and the US Armed Forces. More recently it was the setting for the wedding in “Love Actually!”
Still today we celebrate the lives of those in Mayfair through our Sunday Services, Sunday School, weddings and community groups and many other events. We are proud to welcome people in our community of many faiths and traditions.
The Chapel’s doors are open during the week to everyone seeking peace and quiet and for those who simply want to enjoy the special atmosphere of this beautiful place.
The Chapel receives no funding from outside sources and must raise all its own funds to keep the doors open and to restore the heritage of this beautiful Chapel.
To complete the restoration is beyond the means solely of those who attend. We are thus also inviting all those who benefit from the Chapel and those in our local community who enjoy its presence to help by making a contribution.
